Trek Through the High Atlas
Your adventure starts in Imlil, the mountain village and gateway to Toubkal. From here, trek through dramatic valleys and traditional mountain landscapes, passing Chamharouch before reaching the Toubkal Refuge at around 3,200 meters.
Reach the Summit of Toubkal
The highlight of the adventure comes on the second day as you make the challenging ascent toward the 4,167m summit. After reaching the top, enjoy spectacular panoramic views across the High Atlas before descending to the refuge for another night.
Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech → Imlil → Chamharouch → Toubkal Refuge
Overnight: Toubkal Refuge
Depart from Marrakech and drive approximately 1.5 hours to Imlil, located at around 1,740m. Here, meet your muleteers, organize your supplies, and prepare for the trek.
Begin walking through the High Atlas Mountains toward Chamharouch, where you’ll stop for lunch after around three hours of trekking.
After lunch, continue ascending for another 2–3 hours through increasingly dramatic mountain scenery until reaching the Toubkal Refuge at approximately 3,200m.
Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the refuge.
Day 2: Toubkal Refuge → Summit → Toubkal Refuge
Overnight: Toubkal Refuge
Wake up early, around 4:00 AM, and have breakfast before beginning the ascent toward the summit.
Follow the challenging trail toward Mount Toubkal at 4,167m, taking regular breaks to enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery.
Reach the summit and take time to admire the incredible panoramic views across the High Atlas. After enjoying the summit, descend carefully back to the refuge.
Have dinner and spend another night at the mountain refuge.
Day 3: Toubkal Refuge → Imlil → Marrakech
After breakfast, begin your descent from the refuge toward Imlil, following the mountain trails through the High Atlas.
Arrive in Imlil and enjoy lunch before meeting your transport for the journey back to Marrakech.
Tour Ends: Drop-off in Marrakech.
