Itinerary
Day 1: Ouarzazate → Skoura → Dades Valley → Todra Gorges
Overnight: Todra Gorges / Tinghir
Your 3 Days Desert Tour from Ouarzazate to Fes begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation.
Travel through the beautiful Skoura Palm Grove, home to ancient kasbahs and lush palm-filled landscapes. Continue toward the Valley of Roses, famous for its fragrant rose products and traditional villages.
Continue through the spectacular Dades Valley, enjoying panoramic views and dramatic rock formations along the famous winding mountain road.
After lunch, continue toward Tinghir and explore the impressive Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically on both sides of the narrow canyon.
Enjoy a relaxing evening in the area before dinner and your overnight stay.
Overnight: Todra Gorges / Tinghir.
Day 2: Todra Gorges → Erfoud → Rissani → Merzouga
Overnight: Luxury Desert Camp
After breakfast, continue your journey toward the Sahara Desert, passing through traditional Berber villages and desert landscapes.
Travel through Erfoud, famous for fossils and fossilized marble. Continue toward Rissani, where you can explore its traditional souk and experience the atmosphere of this historic trading town.
Continue to Merzouga, arriving in the afternoon.
Leave your vehicle and begin your camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Ride through the golden Sahara landscape and stop on a high dune to watch the spectacular sunset.
Continue to your desert camp where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music, and an evening beneath the stars.
Overnight: Luxury Desert Camp.
Day 3: Merzouga → Ziz Valley → Midelt → Cedar Forest → Ifrane → Fes
Wake up early to watch the spectacular Sahara sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Return to the camp for breakfast before continuing toward Rissani and the Ziz Valley, stopping at scenic viewpoints along the way.
Continue through Errachidia and the changing landscapes of the Middle Atlas toward Midelt, where you’ll stop for lunch.
After lunch, travel through the Cedar Forest, where you may encounter Barbary macaques living among the ancient cedar trees.
Continue to Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its alpine-style architecture and mountain setting.
From Ifrane, continue toward Fes, arriving in the evening.
