After your desert experience, travel through the spectacular Ziz Valley and Middle Atlas Mountains, meet Barbary macaques in the cedar forests, and pass through Ifrane before finishing your adventure in Fes.
Itinerary
Day 1: Agadir → Taroudant → Taliouine → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate
Overnight: Ouarzazate
Your adventure begins with pickup from your resort in Agadir at 8:00 AM. Travel inland through the Atlas Mountain landscapes, passing through Taroudant and Taliouine, known for its saffron production.
Continue toward Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the highlight of the day. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, walk through its ancient streets, and climb toward the top for breathtaking views over the surrounding landscape.
Enjoy lunch in the area before continuing to Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Morocco. Depending on your chosen itinerary, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a film studio before dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 2: Ouarzazate → Todra Gorge → Erfoud → Erg Chebbi
Overnight: Desert Camp
After breakfast, leave Ouarzazate and head toward the Sahara, with the spectacular Todra Gorge as the main highlight of the day.
Walk along the canyon floor surrounded by enormous cliffs and enjoy the dramatic scenery of this famous High Atlas landscape.
Continue through palm groves and stop to discover an ancient underground irrigation system known as Kheterra, historically used to provide water to local farmers.
Continue through Erfoud, famous for its fossils, before reaching the golden Erg Chebbi dunes.
In the afternoon, begin your camel trek into the Sahara. Ride across the dunes while watching the colors of the desert change as the sun sets.
Arrive at your desert camp, enjoy a traditional Berber dinner, and spend the night beneath the stars.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi → Ziz Valley → Midelt → Fes
Overnight: Fes
Wake up early and enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes.
After breakfast, try some sandboarding at the camp before riding the camels back to the starting point.
Continue your journey toward Fes, passing through the impressive Ziz Valley, one of the largest oasis landscapes in Africa.
Continue toward Midelt, located between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, where you’ll stop for lunch.
After lunch, cross the beautiful Middle Atlas cedar forests. Keep an eye out for the famous Barbary macaques, with an opportunity to see them in their natural environment.
Continue through Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” because of its distinctive alpine-style architecture, before continuing toward Fes.
Overnight: Fes.
Day 4: Fes City Tour
Overnight: Fes
Spend the day discovering the historic city of Fes and its fascinating cultural heritage.
Begin with the impressive Royal Palace Gate and continue to the historic Mellah, the first Jewish quarter established in Morocco.
Visit a traditional tiles cooperative to discover the craftsmanship behind Morocco’s famous architectural designs, then head to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the ancient Medina.
Continue exploring the city’s major cultural and historical attractions, including the Fes Tanneries, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and Al Karaouine University.
Day 5: Fes → Fes-Saïss Airport
After breakfast, enjoy your remaining free time depending on your flight schedule.
At the agreed time, your private transfer will take you to Fes-Saïss Airport, marking the end of your Moroccan adventure.
